Yes, jail. Arrested on bogus charges that were later thrown out in court, Bruce was locked up for seven days — all of it in isolation.
That was when he first collided with A Sense of Place Magazine. We interviewed him on the same day he was released.
To see the initial story go here:
A highly qualified and passionate anaesthetist, Bruce has worked not only in hospitals but also on rescue helicopters. He volunteered for multiple tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, and he served with the State Volunteer Fire Brigades, helping fight numerous major bushfires.
But almost all of that was taken from him because he dared to ask questions about Australia’s COVID response and expressed serious concerns about the vaccines.
He came to Canberra to join the Convoy to Canberra protest. Today he co-hosts a popular podcast with Mark Neugebauer, which also streams on Cafe Locked Out’s Rumble channel.

But here Bruce tells his own story,
Dear Audience,
I absolutely *hate* blowing my own trumpet, but as the end of 2019 approached, I think I could have described myself as a model Australian citizen: I was 55 years old and at the peak of my career. I was a senior Dr working for the South Australian Health system.
I was a certified Anaesthesiologist, but not one doing the routine stuff, my interest was in critical care and trauma. I had spent the last 30 years working in trauma centres and crewing the states airborne emergency helicopters, and the famous ‘Flying Doctor’ planes.
My interest in the ‘sharper side’ of medicine had been life long, I volunteered as an EMT whilst I was in medical school, and joined the Royal Australian Air Force as a reservist doctor as soon as I completed
my specialist training. I volunteered for service in East Timor, Iraq and Afghanistan, completing six tours all up and spending the best part of a year in uniform in the Middle East – much of it in Baghdad and Kandahar during the ‘troubles’.
I regret our involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan now, but I learned a HUGE amount about trauma medicine, and I think I brought skills home which benefited others.
But it all came to an end once COVID was upon us. At the start, I believed the doom and gloom and thought a real emergency was looming, but I had an Honours Degree in research too, and I started self educating about the risks. I soon formed the view that the lockdowns wouldn’t work (they didn’t in 1918 when world travel was much scanter), that the masks were ineffective (pore size was much larger than particle size), and that our children faced little risk but would carry the economic
consequences forever. Then the ‘vaccines’ came and I researched how they worked too. Pretty soon it was obvious that this new experimental technology imposed serious risks, that the protection provided was fleeting if any at all, and that our young people were being asked to run these risks ‘to protect grandma’ when in fact the real risk for grandma was her old age and poor metabolic health.
Once the ‘vaccine’ mandates started, it all came to a head. I refused to take the injections and increasingly started speaking out about the dangers, and the ethical abomination that mandated medical treatment was. I issued mask and vaccine
exemptions but only after real consults – 30 minute appointments where history, examination, risks and benefits were all discussed. The Chief Health Officer binned
all of them, a GROSS and unethical intrusion into the therapeutic ‘doctor patient’ relationship I had established with each individual.
I wrote scripts for Hydroxycholorquine and Ivermectin, and when the pharmacies refused to fill them, I published information on how to convert ‘horse dewormer’
preparations for human use. I KNEW Ivermectin was safe because the Australian Army had given it to me previously as I ended military tours in the tropics. Given how few doctors were prepared to speak out like me, I gained quite a following, but this was a problem for the state, so the harassment started. I lost my job – they posted guards at the staff entrance of my hospital to check my vax papers the day the ‘vaccines’ became mandatory. The RAAF gave me an ultimatum – shut up (in-particular stop telling young service members the injections posed more risk than benefit) or get out. I chose the latter – they accepted my resignation over the phone, no retirement dinner, no ‘thankyou for 20 years of service with multiple deployments’
– just ‘your base access pass is cancelled, make an appointment to be escorted in to return you kit ASAP’.
The volunteer fire service that I had been a member of for 25 years labelled me a ‘reputational risk’ and proposed a ‘management plan’ – I told them where they could
stick their management plan. Australia’s Medical Regulator, AHPRA, started investigating me – you see they had issued guidance to all doctors informing them that it was ‘unprofessional’ to do anything other than wholeheartedly endorse the COVID injections for all – I disagreed. My State Representative, (the Attorney General, Josh Teague) sent the police around to my house for a ‘friendly chat’. I was
told that I needed to ‘tone down’ my comments or ‘things might happen which I did not want’. I filmed the interaction and uploaded it to the internet, where it got over
100,000 views, many internationally.
