Big Time is the back-story of Mr Big from the TV series Sex and the City. It follows 10 years of Mr Big’s life from a carefree thirty-year-old banker to a married man, through his subsequent divorce, before he met Carrie in the first episode of the show. The story – from a man’s perspective – gives depth to a character many viewers of the television series were attracted to yet thought of as narcissistic. The intent in writing this story was for the reader to get to know and understand the man who was reluctant – or even unable – to commit to Carrie in the series.

Big Time is a story about a man in his 30’s, making his way up the corporate ladder whilst also making relationship mistakes and struggling to understand the opposite sex.

Amongst other male-centric issues, Big Time explores:

· Why a guy asks for a woman’s number and then never calls?
· Is it ever all right for a guy to pay for sex?
· Can a man be in love with one woman yet attracted to others?

September 10th, 2014, Sydney, Australia—While an audience of tens of millions loved learning about the intimate details of Carrie and her cohorts, an Australian writer quickly attracted an online audience with his insights into the enigma of who is Mr Big. Despite the books “Men are from Mars Women are from Venus” and “He’s just not that into You,” it is evident that there are still many questions unanswered about how men like Mr Big think.

Big Time takes women inside the mind of a man who can’t settle-down. Sean Nunan, the author, says, “I think being able to get inside the head of a well-known guy like Mr Big allows women to really understand how men who can’t, or won’t commit, think.”

Nunan says: “I wanted to write the story from Mr Big’s perspective because there wasn’t any depth to his character; I also wanted to answer some questions about how he came to be the character women both loved and hated at the same time. Most fans of the series just assumed he was self-centred and couldn’t commit to Carrie, but we didn’t know why.“

Big Time tracks 10 years of Mr Big’s life up to meeting Carrie in the first episode and gives depth to a character viewers of the series were attracted to.

Nunan adds: “This book shows there’s more to men than a beer fridge and football and that men are more complex and deeper than they’re often given credit for. I was astonished by how popular the story has been; I certainly wasn’t expecting 100,000 readers in the first month.
